Amit Puri is a serial entrepreneur in the space industry. He is a global executive with strong general management and technical experience including sales, engineering, program management, and business development. He has a proven track record of consistently increasing market share by entering new markets, cultivating customer relationships resulting in superior financial growth, and commercializing technology products. He is strategy-focused with strong leadership skills and is effective in leading change in a competitive market. Puri is a recognized businessman in the National Capital Region who has been successful in architecting and commercializing satellite communication technologies. He has led the production of space hardware technologies for the world's most high-profile space missions. Highlights from these missions include the International Space Station, the Hubble Space Telescope, the Space Shuttle Program, the Artemis Mission, and the James Webb Space Telescope.
Puri currently serves as president and CEO of Kurtek, a firm designed to create and promote space-based interoperable technologies. He was previously the founder and CEO of Ingenicomm, a firm that catered to the needs of our nation’s civil space, Department of Defense, and the intelligence community. Under Puri’s leadership, Ingenicomm became one of the fastest growing companies in the Washington, D.C., metro area. Ingenicomm has conducted business with both domestic government agencies and virtually every major international space agency, and has deployed space-ground technologies across all continents, including Antarctica. Puri supports numerous boards as either an advisor or a director. These boards span non-profit, corporate, and academia. He is a proven entrepreneur, engineer, and a leader who successfully demonstrates the amalgamation of these three attributes. He maintains the highest level of ethics.
