Meet Colleen Leavell, our MS in Business Analytics Program Student Ambassador at the Costello College of Business at George Mason University. Colleen’s non-traditional path taught her to enjoy every second of her educational journey. Circumstances caused her to drop out in her junior year, but her dedication to learning brought her back to George Mason years later where she completed her undergraduate degree and is currently in the MS in Business Analytics Program. Always interested in Big Data, she’s excited to support fellow students in the Master's in Business Analytics Program, and happy to share her experiences. 

George Mason University Costello College of Business proudly introduces its 2024-25 cohort of Student Ambassadors—an exceptional group of students who will serve as leaders, advocates, and representatives for the college. These individuals not only excel in their academic pursuits but also embody the values of leadership, community engagement, and professional excellence that define Costello’s mission.

The Costello College of Business at George Mason University is proud to announce its collaboration with the Deloitte Foundation through the Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars Program (DFASP). Starting fall 2025, this collaboration is expected to provide 10 full tuition scholarships to George Mason University students who intend to become CPAs after pursuing their master’s degree in accounting at the Costello College of Business.  

The Costello College of Business online MBA program jumped 19 spots with a new ranking of #55 nationally for Best Online MBA (#41 among public universities) from U.S. News & World Report. In addition, the Online MBA Program jumped 16 spots from last year for Best Program for Veterans, landing at #34 nationally (#30 among public universities). This new ranking places the Costello online MBA program #1 in Virginia for veterans.

Meet Marianne Makhlouf, our MS in Management Program Student Ambassador at the Costello College of Business. A Mason alumna and bilingual in English and Arabic, Marianne loves the culture and diversity at George Mason University.

Meet Bo Galles, our MS in Real Estate Development Student Ambassador, who brings his experience as a retail broker at KLNB, specializing in pad sites and new construction projects. He encourages aspiring candidates to join industry organizations like NAIOP and attend networking events to build valuable connections.

Meet Giorgia Sausa, our passionate MS in Finance Student Ambassador from Italy, who is dedicated to global finance. With a background in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in economics and management, she chose George Mason University for its intensive one-year master’s program that prepares students for successful careers in finance.

Costello College of Business at George Mason University’s Graduate Students of the Year for 2023-2024 exemplify the highest standards of academic excellence, leadership, and dedication to their field. Here, they explain why they chose Mason, and offer advice to others considering master’s degrees in business.  

Katie Kacher, the 2023-24 master’s in business analytics Student of the Year is proof that hard work, motivation, and organization are the key ingredients to success in graduate business school. Kacher chose the Donald G. Costello College of Business at George Mason University for her graduate degree, primarily due to George Mason’s reputation for high caliber coursework and student outcomes.

Maya Didier, originally from Burgandy, France, took a gap year to travel and improve her English when Covid hit and her plans were derailed. Through the INTO Mason program, Didier gradually integrated into George Mason, joining the MS in Accounting program at the Donald G. Costello College of Business. Didier, now a Student Ambassador for the master’s in accounting (MSA) program, chats about her journey, and why she chose George Mason’s MS in accounting program.
